Agricultural Méthode Cousinié®
Leaf fertilization is recommended following times of stress: planting, hail, wind, cold, heat, drought. It serves as an additional fertilization in case of severe deficiency of an essential nutritive element. It will be more effective on plants with wide-spread foliage, thus the importance of an effective soil nutrient upstream from plant growth.
Nutrition based on the Agricultural-Environmental Méthode Cousinié®:CousiFolia® foliage proposes new active, high-performing and productive ingredients for viticulture and arboriculture. The purity and refinement of components, essentially of mineral origin, results in optimal solubility. The wettability admixtures impart an exceptional adherence to this Agricultural Méthode Cousinié® foliage, safeguarding it from leaching within a maximum of 30 minutes to 2 hours following application.
Cousifolia®, an active product ranges with respect for the environment:The leading qualities of CousiFolia® foliage are: - Assimilation within 2 hours following application
- Metabolizing in 48 hours
- Duration of effectiveness: 2 to 3 weeks
- Perfect assimilation with leaf-fruit transit
- Improvement of synthesis potential.
Persistence testing carried out by two private laboratories, one in Bordeaux, the other in Champagne, showed adhesion on foliage two to three times greater than with classic foliage. Our foliage has the advantage of being more easily assimilated and less prone to leaching.
Understanding before taking action:An initial observation shows the immediately evident weaknesses of the plant. We then take samples indispensable for a complete analysis: - Identification of diseases, parasites, deficiencies.
- Wood analyses: these generate a remarkably reliable history, whereby the risks of toxicity, or otherwise of deficiencies in the make-up of phloem-woody tissues are brought to light.
- Limb analysis: Next we carry out a determinant physiological analysis of the quality of the leaf structure and the richness of its photosynthesis.
- Leaf analysis: Mineral composition is a determinant stage in understanding the make-up of the leaf structure, photosynthesis potential, and chlorophyll performance. Supplementary analyses reveal any parasites and fungal diseases.
- Berry analysis: This gives us precise information on mineral components. As a supplement to limb analysis, they inform us as to the status of the fruit that differs from limb status at a time "T". They make it possible to anticipate anomalies in ripeness before they can be visibly detected.
Cousifolia® foliage recommendations: Expert knowledge of the biomineral components of foliage leads to a leaf-nutrition or corrective recommendation in accordance with diseases and deficiencies detected. Leaf formulas are prepared under the guidance of the Agricultural Méthode Cousinié®, and brought into compliance with French Standards NFU 42001, NFU 42003-1 and NFU 42003-2. Leaf formula assemblies enhance packaged treatments (fewer treatments on the vine). They will be studied on a case-by-case basis in order to avoid incompatibilities. The formulas, available in 10-liter cans, are clearly shown on standardized labels. Use conditions can be seen on this site, in documentation published on line, or printed out. With an eye toward preserving air quality to the maximum, we have requested our manufacturers to use packaging that contains no halogen derivatives.
The Cousifolia® range of leaf-nutrition products:These meet the expectations of demanding grapegrowers and arboriculturists in every specific agricultural situation. They have the advantage of ongoing observations of the land, and of innovations in our laboratory research. Based on active ingredient, they can be divided into two types in keeping with the nature of leaf needs.
