The flowering-setting period is particularly delicate. In the case of unfavorable atmospheric conditions – rain, cold, heavy wind – with excessively open shoots during flowering, the quality of flowers and young fruit may be compromised.

The same holds true whenever the plant has certain deficiencies during this critical phenologic stage.
