Environmental winegrowing without borders:

The Méthode Cousinié®

The well-informed consumers lay out their preferences:

  • Healthy nutrition, made-to-order and free of pollutants.
  • Nature protected by the most rigorous of regulations, a guarantee of health.
  • A more individualistic lifestyle, albeit more demanding, where each person will become increasingly responsible for environmental management through his or her own patterns of consumption.

A man with an environmental cause

In 1972, Jean-Pierre Cousinié was the inventor of the “well-reasoned" environmental farming method, the Méthode Cousinié®:
«I’ve outlined new research perspectives in order to understand the intimate relationships between the biological rhythms of plants and their nutritional needs, on the one hand, and on the other, soil resources and environmental management. The application of a new set of interactive and regulating values for environmental protection measures enhances plant growth and auto-resistance.».

A directly applicable agricultural concept

This winegrowing and arboreal agricultural management offer can be transferred to the 5 continents risk-free. It has achieved its success thanks to an unequaled sharing of know-how with the major winegrowing regions.

Assignments now underway:
  • Abroad: Spain, Chile, California, Eastern Europe.
  • France: Bordeaux (Médoc, Graves, Margaux, St. Emilion), Gaillac, Sud-ouest, Languedoc-Roussillon, Vallée du Rhône.

The quality chain

The added value of the CousiniéMéthode Cousinié® International Agricultural Method stems from the highly positive assessments of wine quality, as well as from mastery of the vineyard.
« These experiences, involving both the vine and the laboratory, have made it possible for me to create a reference system for geological, biological, and biochemical data, with observations made in the field, all of which is immediately available in the ”Méthode Cousinié® Reference System”. A living record of a successfully completed agricultural concept, it reinforces appropriate growing decision-making.

The idea of a qualitative reclassification

Owing to action taken in the field, fleshed out by innovative, sectorial and wide-reaching analyses, we can offer grapegrowers, managers and investors other criteria for farm development: the Méthode Cousinié® environmental quality reference – requalification of your output – reassessment of the vineyard – new economic perspectives.
